The Story Behind the Brand

from creative kid to six figure brand builder

I’ve always been a creative at heart. As a kid, I had endless hobbies — drawing, writing, experimenting with new ideas — always finding some way to make, design, and express myself. In 2015, I discovered blogging. I can still remember sitting at my computer, setting up a Blogspot site, and designing my very first logo for it. To me is was perfect and it felt like magic to create something from nothing and put it out into the world. I’d spend weekends exploring, snapping pictures, and then rushing home to blog about the things I loved. That’s when I first realized how much joy I got from both creating and sharing.

A few years later, I became a makeup artist. I loved the artistry, but quickly ran into a problem: how was I going to get clients? I needed a way to promote my services, so I started designing my own flyers and graphics. What began as a necessity turned into a passion — I found myself more excited about the design work than the makeup at times.

By 2017, I launched my first business, A Dose of Lashes. I designed the brand identity, created the visuals, and started piecing everything together myself. That experience showed me something huge: a business can’t run on pretty flyers alone. You need strategy. That realization was the start of my shift from “just designing” to building full branding and marketing solutions.

From there, I leaned into what I was naturally good at — blending creativity with strategy. I started offering design services alongside being a MUA and entrepreneur, and I noticed people were drawn to the way I could see the bigger picture. Every project pushed me to grow more.

In 2021, I took on a new challenge as a Communications Specialist for a thriving nonprofit. It was the first time I got to apply my skills in a bigger setting. I managed social media, created content, built strategies, and ran email marketing campaigns. I remember the excitement of seeing a post I designed reach thousands of people, or watching an email campaign get record engagement. That role showed me the true impact of strategy — and confirmed I was ready to broaden my own studio’s services.

One of my proudest projects has been helping my best friend build her business from the ground up. From brainstorming the brand name to designing every piece of content, I’ve been part of her journey every step of the way. Seeing her cross six figures in revenue felt like a full-circle moment: proof that the work I do changes lives, not just logos.

Today, I’m continuing my journey as a business administration student while running my branding & marketing studio. Every step of my story — from blogging days to MUA flyers to nonprofit campaigns — has shaped the way I help entrepreneurs now. My brand is living proof that creativity, strategy, and consistency can build more than just brands — they can create opportunities, freedom, and growth.
